Bar Stools, finally!

I finally finished painting my bar stools!!

I don't have a before picture, but imagine something like this...

I found four from a craigslist type site here locally for cheap! i knew i could fix em up to look more exciting.

I saw this idea on pinterest: http://www.honeybearlane.com/2013/03/gold-dipped-bar-stools.html and loved the gold, but not the pink.  I have a fondness for teal these days.

I also happened to have some teal paint on hand.  So I DIY-ed my own chalk paint with plaster of paris (VERY EASY btw! i used this recipe http://inmyownstyle.com/2012/08/testing-1-2-3-versions-of-chalk-paint.html) and painted my stools!  Before waxing with my Annie Sloan clear wax, I painted the feet of each stool with Vintage Gold from Martha Stewart.  Then I waxed each stool, even over the gold paint.

I absolutely adore how these turned out!

This really should have been done in a weekend, but with travel and sick kids, I think it took me over a month!  I'm so excited to have them done!  The fourth one is in my garage, it didn't totally fit at the bar, so I'm using it at my craft table for now.
